Billie was the foundation bitch of Shiny Sensation’s Whippets. To us she was a very very special girl in absolut t Beauty & Character!

Billie was a very beautiful girl, a little bit too big, size wise, but with a beautiful shape and very good movement. Billie was bred by Susan Mycroft from the Supeta’s Kennels in the UK. Because Billie was the first Whippet we bought for showing and breeding we did not know enough of the breed to make a choice. Luckily we could count on Sue’s expertise to find a beautiful bitch for us. And she became beautiful, we showed her a couple of times in The Netherlands and abroad, almost every time she won her class with Ex. Because of her size and us being no Whippet showing experts she did not gain enough CAC’s to become a champion.

At an age of almost nine years, Billie was still looking ver pretty and we decided to show her again.
Our Goal was to make her a Veteran Champion of the Netherlands and Germany. She was so beautiful, she really deserved to have at least one Championship title.

She surprised us a lot, at her age see seemed to be able to compete with the younger ladies for the CAC/BOS.
In Germany it took judge Mr. M. Sisterman a lot of time to decide for best bitch between Billie and her younger component, finally deciding to take the younger one because Billie looked a little fat. But in Eindhoven a kind of wonder happened: Billie became BOS (best opposite sex) and she also became 3th Veteran in show.

The First photo’s we received out of the UK were a little bit disappointing, not the beautifull fawn colour of the mother but a boring grey puppy.

Already after about ten days our opinion about the colour turned out to be a little premature. What a difference in colour compared to the day after birth.

Finally Billie arrived in the Netherlands, 11 weeks of age, brought over by Sue, who gave us good lessons in Whippet showing at the kitchen table.

Billie was a very sweet, affectionate, quiet Whippet. She was a little bit shy, it took her a while to make friends with other people, but if she made friends, she made friends with all of her heart. She was also friends with the cat, they loved to sleep together, nice and warm.

Although Billie was very quiet in the house, she is like all the other Whippets; she loved to run, preferably by coursing, at this photo’s during the winter coursing at the Ronostrand.
